KUKA robots offer a range of optional software packages. These packages are designed to enhance the robots’ functionality, such as improving motion control for smoother operation, enabling advanced programming for complex tasks, and facilitating better integration with other systems. They meet different industrial needs, from automotive manufacturing to logistics, and help users optimize production processes and increase efficiency.
KUKA.UserTech enables users to integrate tailored application instructions into the operating device via a graphical user interface. Even without relevant experience, user-specific line instructions and status keys can be created in the newly developed editor, which greatly reduces the difficulty of using robotics.
- Intuitive interactive interface
The user interface (User Interface) allows users to create their own, tailored process program user interface, including line instructions, status keys, information and buttons. Through the intuitively operated editor, functions can be created in KUKA.WorkVisual in just a few steps, and even entire operating processes can be created in script format. Even without professional programming knowledge, you can quickly get started. For example, after configuring the status key, you only need to press a button on the user interface to open and close the gripper. - Simple application, ready for use quickly
Configuration files can be easily created on the computer using drag and drop, and the various settings can be transferred to the robot controller. The set functions can then be used on the ergonomic handheld operating device smartPAD.
In addition, the created multiple UserTech instructions can be packaged into separate option packages using the KUKA.OptionPackageEditor and integrated into the systems of different robots by default, so that duplication errors can be easily avoided. The user interface can also be used in KUKA.Sim so that new applications can be simulated smoothly in advance. - Configurable user interface functions
In addition to the standard line instructions, you can also create your own line instructions in the editor. These line instructions are transferred to the robot controller for easy use of the instructions on the smartPAD and for parameterizing inputs. Since the configuration is generated by the editor, the use of line instructions and status keys is safer. When configuring instructions, invalid syntax is displayed directly. As a result, the user receives feedback directly via the user interface instead of when testing the robot controller.
Using KUKA.UserTech, you can create and use your own line commands, messages and buttons, status keys, scripts for line commands and status keys, etc. in the KUKA.HMI (KUKA graphical user interface (GUI)) of the smartPAD, and you can also integrate extended functions into the simulation software KUKA.Sim and KUKA.WorkVisual (software package for offline programming). - Cooperation with KUKA.HMI
The KUKA.HMI product series offers perfectly tailored solutions for the operation, control and monitoring of robots in industrial production. Depending on the requirements, the software versions KUKA.HMI easy and KUKA.HMI zenon can be used to quickly convert the universal user interface on the KUKA smartPAD into a personalized interface display – optimized for user needs and can be used without training. Compatibility with the robot control system KR C4 makes KUKA.HMI the ideal visualization software for single industrial robots or complex robot cells.
KUKA.HMI makes robot operation easier and optimizes the display on the KUKA smartPAD for easier viewing and effective prevention of operating errors. KUKA.UserTech makes the KUKA.HMI user interface even more complete, which helps to achieve more efficient human-machine interaction. The personalized design of the human-machine interface goes hand in hand with the flexible graphical user interface.
